This is the finished "GaMe" I showed progress on in yesterday's (Saturday) post.
It's been stitched closed, filled with poly pellets & some insects to find. # 2 GS (2 yo) ... LoVeS it... and all those errkkky bugs...
I added a bright GReeN binding to yet another PlayQuilt last night.
I started to sew the binding down... but then went onto other small projects... I sat & finished stitching the binding this morning... yeah !
This makes TuMMy TiMe PLayQuiLT number 6.
Julie machine quilted it using a "Kites" pattern & the final measurement is 34 inch x 44 inch.
I also filled all the White/Neutral/Black bobbins in my box. They are now sitting waiting to be used. LoVe having lots of full bobbins on hand.
Then I made a vinyl & fabric pouch which is to be filled with pellets & "toys" to find.
More on this later once it's filled... & the sewing completed.
Thank you Wendy for having me over. It always motivates me to get a little bit on sewing in.
You can visit Wendy HeRe to see what others got up to last night.
I have lots of paper, some fabric & a few threads on my mat.
Starting a NeW project is always FuN... especially when it involves applique.
You see... I actually LoVe anything that includes AppLiQue...
More on this later...
I am on a bit of a roll at the moment... finishing off the PLaYQuiLT panels.
This one is called... FLuTTerBuGs and it's probably my favourite so far.
It finished at 34 inch x 42 inch.
Into the cupboard it goes until a new baby needs it.
I came home with this cutie pie (excuse the pun) from our guild meeting on Tuesday.
What a cute addition to my "PiN CusHioN" basket... although after seeing this pic more filling is needed.
The online template & instructions can be found here... although it's made with "felt" & "foam"... but you can easily adjust it to make it from fabric & foam OR filled with batting or toy fill too... OR it's in this BooK...
After last night at Friday Night with Friends...
I have another PLayQuiLT hanging up waiting for a new home.
This one is called HuMPTy DuMPTy of course.
It's a really sweet pre-printed panel that Julie quilted for me... that just needed to have a binding added. I machined the yellow dot binding earlier in the evening, then hand stitched it down while watching a movie late last night.
These are really handy for floor "TuMMy TiMe" quilts.
for the first Friday Night with Friends in 2018... as it's on this week... Jan 5th.
Although I know most of us aren't over 2017, Christmas or NYE yet... lol... but Ohhh what FuN...
so what better way to get back into the swing of things than to sit with Friends and Sew.
I am so looking forward to your company...
